OUR STORY
Jessica spent many years working on Capitol Hill in the United States House of Representatives but always dreamed of starting her own business. In the fall of 2008 she took the leap, launching More of Me at the LA Market Center — 1 week after the collapse of Lehman Brothers and the resulting US economic turmoil. Jessica was never deterred, and More of Me slowly developed a cult following of chic, taste-making moms, celebrities, bloggers and editors.
More of Me is now carried in specialty maternity and baby boutiques around the world – from Queen Bee in Australia, to Pink or Blue in Saudi Arabia, to the Pickles and Ice Cream boutiques through the South, to Mom’s the Word in San Francisco, to Bellydance in Chicago and Manhattan.
When not growing More of Me from home in Washington, DC (on nights and weekends), Jessica is the proud mother to 2 children, daughter Avery (5.5) and son Oscar (2.5), and the Vice President of Public Affairs at New Media Strategies (day job). Jessica loves classic children’s clothing, interior design, Martha’s Vineyard + Cabo, Soho on a Saturday morning, cake decorating, manicures (Essie Licorice), photography, calligraphy and is addicited to Pinterest. She recently gave up a new purse to buy Adobe’s CS5 and teach herself Photoshop. She admires women like Alison Pincus and Sarah Blakely, she adores the creativity of Mrs. Lilien, and she counts on the love and support of so many partners, friends and family for all the help they’ve provided along the way (Todd, Mom, Renee, Marvin and Tina, Hollie, Gina, Groves, Ingrid, SK, BTS (<–you know who you are)
